Everything you need to know (and the process of commissioning me)
Please Note:
✦ I will only do face-ups at this time. Body blushing is not available.
✦ No recasts. Please respect my choice and opinion and do not send me recasts.
✦ I will also do some minor mods, which is included in my faceup fee. Example: Adjusting eye-shape, light sanding on cheeks/chin or opening eyes to be bigger. No piercings or heavy mods.
✦ I will do my best to bring your dreams and ideas to life and I am able to do a wide variety of face-up styles, but please note that I have my own style in handling lines, so you should also make sure you like it before you send your doll(s). :)
✦ I will not copy a face up done by another artist nor will I copy a previous face up done by myself. If you want a similar look, it can be done, but I won't do the same.
✦ Heads should arrive clean, otherwise I will add a faceup removal fee of $10/£8.
✦ Please be avare that as this is hand work, there might be slight imperfections from time-to-time, such as the occassional lint, or rarely, a minimal amount of pastel-dust at the inside part of the eyes.
✦ Please send your nickname or name you contacted me with, as well as your real name written in your order form together with your doll head(s), too. It can be hand writte and just on a piece of paper, but this is important for me to be able to identify your parcel and dolls.
✦ Materials I use ✦
I use top quality artist materials for my faceups.
* Zoukei-Mura & Tamiya acrylic paints
* Tamiya or Vallejo gloss for lips and eyelids or other shiny parts
* Tamiya acrylic thinner & Zoukei Mura thinner
* Unison, Schminke, Windsor&Newton pastels
* Iwata High Precision professional airbrush
* Vallejo Matt Varnish for sealing faceups and smaller blushing work
* MSC, MSC UV Cut and Citadel Purity Seal for bigger blushig work
* Volks and other Pearl shines in most colours
* Windsor &Newton brush cleaner, Mild acrylic thinner
✦ Important!: Please only purchase commissions whe you have the actual doll(s) in hand. No future arrivals.
✦ I'm happy to apply eyelashes on your doll(s) for free, but only when you send them along ( buy them and send them with the doll). I'm sorry but I don't have my own supply for them yet.
✦ Heads should arrive clean. If I have to clean them, I'll charge a face-up removal fee of $10/£8.
When a head arrives with unfinished, stained or just badly done cleaning ( so there are still bits left on it) and I find it might ruin the new faceup, I have the right to charge the faceup removal fee. Also, if I'm the one removing the previous faceup, I can't be held responsible if the previous faceup left some stains etc. on the resin that I'm unable to remove.
✦ My turnaround time is roughly two months.
✦ Please check my twitter and Instagram for daily updates and working process /status on the faceups. I'll keep ALL the updates there and other social sites, such as the Pearl of Danube facebook etc.
✦ After the faceup is finished, I'll send the pictures of your doll for approval to the email you enclosed when ordering.
✦ If you didn't like what you got, I'll redo the faceup for free once. The second time for an addittional $10/£6. After that, each time I have to redo the faceup the price is +$10/£8 ( so twice is $10/£8, three times is $20/£16). There are only 3 times avaible to completely remake the face-up.
✦ When your doll is sent home, I will send you an email with your tracking information.
PAYMENT:
✦ Payments are preferably required upfront, when you purchase your Commission Slot. However, if you prefer, you can send me your Order Form and doll first and only make the payment after your doll has arrived. Should you change your mind or any other issues arise, the payments are refundable, as long as I don't start your doll.
IMPORTANT! / CUSTOMS!
If you send the heads from outside of Europe:
**We have strict customs here and everything above $20 (if the parcel is described as a gift. If you send the parcel as merchandise, this amount is $10) is chargable by them, so please be avare that if you write an amount beyound $20 (gift) on the package, customs may charge it and it'll be an extra fee, starting from £20/ This is especially important for parcels from the US as those get stopped the most often.
Please pack your dolls really carefully to avoid unfortunate accidents! If the head(s) get damaged because of bad packaging I can't be held responsible.
